It is now located in the depth of the forest, but the main part of this old fort is clearly visible from a height up on the hill.

Best Time to Visit ?

Thought the park is open to tourists throughout the year still the weather contingent does play an important role here. The summer season is the best time to spot tigers and other large mammals and also the small animals like deer, monkeys and wild elephants. Bird watching is perfect during the autumn and spring season when the migratory birdsflocks in huge numbers to the water bodies to mate and to lay eggs, A few animal reptiles like crocodiles and lizards have also been spotted on few occasions. Animal sighting is highest during the months of May and June when the days are long and due to shortage of water the animals cover ling distances and can be sighted easily. Though as a tourist it’s always perfect to visit the Betla National Park in November and March when the temperatures are mild and the trip can be comfortable.

Also please make sure that your travel itemizer is well planned and is organized and that you do not waste any day. Do take care that you book a good elephant and jeep ride and also that the guide is well tested otherwise the hotspots might be missed.
